2014 BSA ‘Report to the State’

     The 2014 Boy Scouts of America “Report to the State’ of Washington is scheduled for Monday, February 17th.  The Grand Columbia Council has been asked to include Eagle Scouts for this remarkable event.  Eagle Scouts from around the state will meet and present information about what Scouting has accomplished in 2013 to select state leaders.  Each of the scouts will be speaking in front of an audience in the state capital building. The Eagle Scouts and two adult leaders will travel to Olympia and they will miss some school.

     If you have a young man that will represent your unit, your district and the council well, please have him send the following information to your district advancement chair:

Name, address, phone, and email

Description of Eagle Project

Plans for after high school

Career interests and hobbies

Parent/Emergency contact information

Any additional information you would like included considered or is relevant

Leaders can submit names to their district advancement chair as well.  In the event that there is more than one nominee, the district advancement committee will select their top two candidates and forward their information to Fletcher Scaife in the Council Service Center at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. no later than January 13.  The final representatives will be selected by a volunteer panel and notified of their selection.

     Please make every effort to have some of our best young men available to represent us to our state leaders in Olympia.
