Venturing with the Grand Columbia Council is in part supported by the Venturing Officer's Association (VOA).  The VOA is comprised of Venturers from crews within the council who come together to provide assistance and program support as well as plan activities to bring Venturing crews from around the council together.  Plug into the council VOA by joining their Facebook group at https://www.facebook.com/groups/gccventuringWe encourage all Venturing Crews within the council to share information about their activities on this page so we can all assist each other with program ideas and encouragement.  An aim of the VOA is to build Venturing by working together.

The council VOA always has room for more youth Venturers eager to increase their leadership skills by volunteering their time as members of the VOA Cabinet in planning and executing awesome Venturing adventures for the crews within the council.

There are many online resources available online for Venturing leaders and Venturers alike.  Some include the following:

The Official Venturing page at Scouting.org is www.scouting.org/scoutsource/venturing.aspx.  This site has loads of information and links to resources to assist your crew.

Grand Columbia Council Crew 66 Venturing page at www.cbscouting.com/resources/venturing.htm is a great local resource that provides helpful documents to assist Venturers in program planning, working through some of the abstract areas of the program, understanding the relationship between Venturing, Varsity Scouting, and Boy Scouting, and introducing them to the training courses in Venturing.

For information relating to Venturing in the Grand Columbia Council, please feel free to contact Troy Pugh, Council VOA Advisor, at 509-398-5074.
